What Mostaql publishes about its own fees

Mostaql publishes its commission on its own help centre and announced its last change on its own blog. That is the only kind of number we will put on this page.

  • Base commission: 15% on the freelancer. Mostaql’s own help centre states a 15% commission, with its own worked example of a $1,500 project paying out $1,275. Its FAQ confirms the commission is deducted from the freelancer, not from the project owner.
  • It used to be 20%, and it is not any more. Mostaql’s own blog announced the reduction of the base platform commission from 20% to 15% in April 2024. Third-party articles still quote the old figure; the 15% is the current published base.
  • Paid memberships pay less than 15%, by an amount that is not published. Mostaql runs three freelancer tiers — basic, premium and professional — and states that paid tiers carry a lower commission and a larger monthly bid allowance. The exact percentages and prices are not published publicly, so they are not on this page.
  • Minimum project budget: $25, stated in Mostaql’s own FAQ. It runs entirely in Arabic, with no English interface, and it is operated by Hsoub Limited — the same UK-registered company, number 07571594, that runs Khamsat.
