Zinn Hub offers two payment modes that protect you as a buyer in different ways. Whether you pay through Zinn Hub's platform accounts or directly to the seller's own Stripe or PayPal, your payment is always secure.
This guide explains how each mode works, how your money is protected, and how to find services that match your preference.
Two Payment Modes — Both Secure
When you purchase a Zinn on Zinn Hub, your payment is processed through one of two modes depending on how the Zinner (seller) has set up their account. Both are secure, but they work differently and offer different types of buyer protection.
Platform Payments — Zinn Hub Holds Your Money
When a Zinner has not connected their own Stripe or PayPal, your payment is processed through Zinn Hub's platform payment accounts. This means Zinn Hub collects and holds your payment. The Zinner does not receive any earnings until you have accepted the delivery and the order is marked as complete.
How it protects you:
Your money stays with Zinn Hub until you are satisfied with the work. If the Zinner delivers and you accept, their earnings are released in the next Friday payout. If there is a problem — the work is not as described, the Zinner misses the deadline, or they are unresponsive — your money is still held by Zinn Hub and our support team can step in to help resolve the issue, including issuing a refund where appropriate. This gives you a layer of protection similar to an escrow service because the seller cannot access your payment until the order is successfully completed.
Direct Payments — Instant to the Seller
When a Zinner has connected their own Stripe or PayPal account, your payment goes directly to them at the point of sale. This means the Zinner receives the payment instantly when you complete checkout.
How it protects you:
Direct payments are still fully secure. Here is why:
Seller Identity Verification— Every Zinner who connects Stripe or PayPal goes through KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification. This means their government-issued ID has been verified, their address has been confirmed, their bank account has been validated, and they have passed fraud screening. These checks are performed by Stripe and PayPal — two of the largest, most regulated financial services companies in the world. You are not paying an anonymous stranger. You are paying someone whose real identity has been verified by a global financial institution.
Payment Processor Dispute Protection— Because your payment goes through Stripe or PayPal, you have access to their full buyer protection and dispute policies. If there is a problem with your order, you can raise a dispute or chargeback directly with your card issuer, through PayPal's buyer protection programme, or through your bank. These are the same protections you have when buying from any reputable online retailer.
Zinn Hub Monitoring— On top of the payment processor protections, Zinn Hub continuously monitors all Zinners for delivery rates, completion rates, response times, dispute patterns, and review trends. Zinners who do not maintain standards face warnings, suspension, or removal from the platform. Our support team is also available to help mediate any issues between you and the seller.
Double Protection— With direct payments you effectively have two layers of protection. You can raise issues through Zinn Hub's own support and dispute process, and you can independently raise a dispute or chargeback through the payment processor (Stripe, PayPal, or your card issuer). Both routes are available to you.
Which Mode Is Better for Buyers?
Both modes are secure. The choice depends on your preference:
Platform payments give youthe comfort of knowing your money is held by Zinn Hub until the order is complete. The seller cannot access it until you accept delivery. This can feel safer for large or complex orders with sellers you have not worked with before.
Direct payments give youthe assurance that the seller has been identity verified through Stripe or PayPal KYC, plus full access to the payment processor's own dispute and chargeback policies. This provides strong protection backed by global financial institutions.
For complex or high-value orders where you want maximum peace of mind, platform payment Zinns keep your money held until you are happy. For everyday purchases, direct payment Zinns are equally safe thanks to the verified seller identity and payment processor protections available to you.
Filtering by Payment Type
Zinn Hub lets you filter services and sellers by their payment setup so you can choose Zinns that match your preference.
On the Zinn Finder (
— Use the advanced filters to narrow down Zinns by payment type. You can filter to show only platform payment Zinns, only direct payment Zinns, or both. Combine this with other filters like category, budget, rating, seller country, and more to find exactly what you need.

— Browse seller profiles and filter by their payment setup. This lets you see at a glance which Zinners have their own Stripe or PayPal connected (direct payments) and which use platform payments.
zinnhub.com/zinners/))On Zinner Store Pages— Each Zinner's store page shows their payment setup so you know before you browse their services how payments will be processed.
On Individual Zinn Listings— Every Zinn listing clearly indicates which payment mode applies so you know exactly how your payment will be handled before you add it to your cart.
Payment Methods Available at Checkout
Regardless of which payment mode the Zinner uses, you will always see a full range of payment options at checkout:
- Credit and Debit Cards— Visa, Mastercard, Amex
- PayPal— Pay with your PayPal balance or linked bank account
- Apple Pay and Google Pay— Where enabled by the seller
- Cryptocurrency— USDT and USDC via NOWPayments, available on every listing by default
The payment options look the same to you at checkout. The difference is only in whether your payment goes directly to the seller's account or is held by Zinn Hub until the order completes.
Cryptocurrency Payments — Important
Cryptocurrency payments (USDT and USDC) are always processed as platform payments regardless of the seller's account setup. This means Zinn Hub holds the payment and the seller does not receive it until you accept delivery.
However, there is an important difference. Cryptocurrency payments are final due to blockchain irreversibility. No chargebacks are possible through the blockchain. Refunds for crypto orders are only considered in very limited circumstances such as complete non-delivery or total non-response from the seller, and only if the payout has not already been made.
For complex or high-value orders, we recommend using card or PayPal for the strongest buyer protection. If you prefer to pay with crypto, thoroughly check the seller's reviews, ratings, and experience first, and send a pre-sales message to discuss your project before ordering.
What Happens If Something Goes Wrong
No matter which payment mode applies, here is what to do if there is a problem:
Step 1: Talk to the Zinner— Use the order chat to discuss the issue directly. Most problems can be resolved through clear communication. If the delivery is not quite right, request a revision with specific feedback.
Step 2: Contact Zinn Hub Support— If you cannot resolve it with the seller, click Report Issue on the order page. Our support team will review the order, requirements, delivery, and communication and propose a fair resolution — which may include revisions, a partial refund, or a full refund.
Step 3: Use Payment Processor Protection (Direct Payments)— For direct payment orders, you can also independently raise a dispute or chargeback through your card issuer, PayPal, or your bank. This is available to you on top of Zinn Hub's own support process.
For platform payment orders, your money is still held by Zinn Hub while the dispute is being resolved so you have full protection throughout the process.
