Full Description
What you get
A web application with a real backend behind it: authentication, a database that survives contact with production, an API your frontend can rely on, and a deployment you can rebuild from scratch. Not a template with your logo dropped in.
How I work
I start with the smallest end-to-end slice that a real user can complete — sign up, do the one thing the product exists for, see the result. That slice ships first, on a staging URL, so you are looking at working software in the first week instead of a status update. Everything after that is the same loop: pick the next user task, build it through every layer, verify it, repeat.
Frontend: React with TypeScript, server state handled properly rather than dumped into global state, forms that validate before they submit. Backend: FastAPI or Django REST, typed request and response models, migrations under version control, background jobs for anything slow. Database: Postgres unless you have a reason otherwise, with indexes on the columns the queries actually filter.
Quality, not ceremony
Tests cover the paths that cost money if they break — authentication, payment, data writes. Errors are logged with enough context to debug them without reproducing locally. Secrets live in environment configuration, never in the repository.
What I need
The one user journey that matters most, any existing designs or wireframes, and access to the repository and hosting you plan to use. If you have no designs, I will propose a layout in the first two days and we iterate from something visible.
Handover
You get the code, a README that actually runs, and a walkthrough recording covering deploys, migrations and where the sharp edges are.
Turnaround and communication
The first end-to-end slice lands inside a week, on a staging URL you can click through. After that I ship in small increments and tell you what changed, in writing, rather than saving everything for a demo at the end. If a requirement turns out to be expensive once it meets the real codebase, you hear it while there is still room to choose a cheaper shape for it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — with no designs I produce a clean layout in the first days many you can react to. Visual polish beyond that is better with a designer; the structure and interaction are mine.
FastAPI for API-first products, Django when you want the admin and auth built in. Both are in the price; pick on what your team will maintain.
Yes. Docker on your server, Fly.io, Railway or Vercel for the frontend — whichever you can operate after handover.
