About

RS Systems is the engineering practice of a self-taught full-stack developer working in Python and Node/TypeScript. I build the backends, APIs and automation that connect a business's tools, and I keep them running in production on Linux.

The work usually looks like this. A business has data spread across a website, a spreadsheet, a CRM and an inbox, and somebody is copying it by hand. I write the service that removes the copy: a FastAPI or Express backend with a clean REST surface, scheduled jobs that pull the data, validation and dedupe so the same record never lands twice, and a delivery step (database, sheet, webhook) that the rest of the team already understands.

Scraping and integration are the core skills. I use Playwright and the Chrome DevTools Protocol for pages that ship their data in JavaScript, parse it into typed records, and enrich it where the source is incomplete. Where an API exists but is awkward, with pagination quirks, undocumented endpoints or fragile auth, I map it once and wrap it so it stops being fragile.

I also work below the application layer. systemd units and timers, log and process supervision, Docker, deployment and monitoring, and reading a stack trace until the real cause shows. That is usually the difference between a demo and something a business can depend on.

My own stack is the same engineering at scale: a four-agent platform running unattended on systemd with watchdogs and a one-key kill switch, a multi-provider LLM router with ranked failover, a tool-definition compactor that exposes over a thousand tools through a searchable index, and a browser harness that puts a webchat session behind an OpenAI-compatible API. Forty public repositories, most of them built to solve a problem I actually had.

I work to fixed scope with a written plan before code, milestones that can be tested, tests and documentation included, and a handover that does not require me. Typical delivery is three to fourteen days. I am in US Eastern time and available thirty or more hours a week.

Send the workflow that keeps breaking and I will reply with a plan and a price.
