The Zinn Hub notifications system gives you full control over what alerts you receive and on which channel. Pick the mix that fits how you work — email, Telegram, Slack, in-app bell — and never miss an order, message, or Project match again.
What is the Zinn Hub notifications system?
The notifications system is how Zinn Hub keeps you informed about everything happening on your account. New orders, direct messages, Project matches, payouts, security alerts, reviews, wallet activity and more. Every event the platform thinks you need to know about is routed through the notifications system to the channel or channels you choose.
The system is fully configurable. You decide which events reach you on which channels, with a few exceptions for critical security and financial events that always come through.
What channels are available?
Four channels cover most ways people work today.
- Email. On by default for everything from the moment you sign up. The address used is the one on your Zinn Hub account. Email is the most reliable catch-all and the channel least likely to silently break, which is why critical alerts always flow through it.
- Telegram. The fastest channel by a clear margin. Connect once and Zinn Hub sends time-sensitive alerts directly to your Telegram. Most active Zinners use Telegram as their primary notification channel and pin the bot chat for visibility.
- Slack.A new channel option. Connect your Slack workspace and route different event categories to different channels. Order alerts in one channel, marketing fires in another, finance into a private team channel. Great for agencies and small teams where multiple people need to see different categories of alerts.
- In-app bell. The notification bell sits at the top of your Zinn Hub account header. It is always on and cannot be disabled. The bell is the catch-all whenever you are actively browsing the site and the safety net that ensures nothing slips through, even if a configured external channel has a delivery hiccup.
Where do I find my notification settings?
Your notification preferences live in different places depending on whether you are a Zinner (seller) or a Zinnector (buyer).
- If you are a Zinner, go to your Zinner Dashboard and click the Notifications option. The direct link is- https://zinnhub.com/dashboard/zinner/notifications/
- If you are a Zinnector, go to My Account and click Notifications. The direct link is- https://zinnhub.com/dashboard/zinner/notifications/
The page itself works the same way regardless of which side of the marketplace you are on.
How does the preference matrix work?
Your notification settings page is built around a matrix. Down the left side are 18 event categories. Across the top are the channels you can route them to. Every cell is a tickbox.
Tick a cell and that category of events is delivered on that channel. Untick it and you do not receive those events on that channel. You can mix and match in any combination you like — for example, Direct messages on Telegram and Email but not Slack, Order updates on all four, Recommendations on Email only.
Channels you have not yet connected appear greyed out with a Connect link. Once you connect a channel, the column becomes active and you can start ticking cells.
When you have made your choices, click Save preferences at the bottom and the configuration is live immediately.
What event categories are available?
Eighteen categories cover everything the platform tracks. They are:
- Order updates
- Order lifecycle
- Direct messages
- Cancellations
- Revisions
- Reviews
- Quality reviews
- Testimonials
- Recommendations
- Wallet activity
- Payouts and ledger
- Payment account health
- Security and account
- Zinn (service) status
- Buyer notes
- Scheduled calls
- Ambassador programme
Each category contains one or more individual events. You configure the whole category as a unit per channel rather than every event individually. The list expands over time as new platform features roll out, so any new categories will appear in your matrix automatically.
Critical events you cannot turn off
Some events are too important to silence and the platform locks them on for email and the in-app bell. These are events that affect your account access or your money — security alerts, wallet debit confirmations, payout failures, and account suspension or unsuspension events. You can still choose whether to also receive them on Telegram or Slack, but you cannot turn them off entirely.
The reasoning is simple. Anything affecting your earnings, your security, or your account access has to reach you. We do not want a Zinner to silence everything and miss a payout failure or a suspicious login.
What is the cost-saver toggle?
The cost-saver toggle stops you receiving the same alert twice when you have multiple channels active. The exact wording on the page is: When Telegram is connected, suppress email for non-critical events I would receive on Telegram anyway.
Tick it and Zinn Hub will automatically suppress the email duplicate of any non-critical event Telegram already delivered. Critical events still hit email regardless. The suppression applies only to the day-to-day events where duplication is genuine noise. For most Zinners who connect Telegram, this toggle should be on.
How do I connect Telegram?
In the Telegram column of the preference matrix, click Connect Telegram. You will be taken through a short flow that links your Zinn Hub account to your Telegram via the Zinn Hub bot. Confirm the link from inside Telegram and you are done.
Once connected, return to your notifications page and tick the categories you want delivered to Telegram. Save preferences and alerts will start arriving immediately.
A practical tip: pin the Zinn Hub bot to the top of your Telegram chat list. A pinned chat with a fresh notification is impossible to miss. A buried chat with the same notification might as well not exist.
How do I connect Slack?
In the Slack column of the preference matrix, click Connect Slack. You will be taken through Slack's standard OAuth flow to authorise Zinn Hub on your workspace. Pick a default channel for Zinn Hub messages and save.
Once connected, you can configure per-category overrides. Order alerts can land in one channel, marketing fires in another, finance in a private team channel only certain people can see. Tick the categories you want routed to Slack and save preferences.
If you do not use Slack daily for actual work, do not connect it. Connecting a workspace you do not monitor just routes alerts into a black hole. Better to skip it.
How do I use the in-app bell?
The bell is in the top-right of your Zinn Hub account header. It is always on and cannot be disabled. Click the bell icon to see recent activity across every category, with each item linked to the relevant page so you can jump to it directly.
The bell is your master log of what the system has flagged for your attention. The other channels are how those flags reach you when you are not actively on the site.
Recommended setups
A few patterns work well for different kinds of users.
- Always-online seller:Telegram is the primary channel for everything time-critical. Email kept on for Payouts and ledger and Security and account only. Cost-saver toggle on. The in-app bell catches whatever is missed.
- Side-hustler:Email is the catch-all. Telegram for just Orders and Direct messages so you can respond in evenings. No Slack. The bell is your morning catch-up.
- Agency or small team:Slack for everything operational, with per-category channels separating orders, revisions, and finance. Telegram on the founder's phone for emergencies. Email kept on as an audit trail.
These are starting points. Tune them to match how you actually work.
How often should I review my settings?
Every six months minimum, or whenever your work pattern changes substantially. Switching from side-hustle to full-time, scaling from solo to team, or changing your primary chat tool. Five minutes of tuning then prevents months of either missed alerts or notification fatigue later.
Why does this matter?
Speed wins on Zinn Hub. The seller who responds to a buyer message in three minutes wins more orders than the one who responds in three hours. Reviews compound. Search ranking compounds. Visibility compounds. All of it depends on actually knowing the alert landed in the first place.
Setting up your notifications properly takes ten minutes once. The compound across hundreds of orders is one of the highest-return setup tasks on the entire platform.
Why am I receiving duplicate notifications?
This usually happens when you have Telegram connected but the cost-saver toggle is not ticked. Open your notifications page and tick the toggle. The wording is: When Telegram is connected, suppress email for non-critical events I would receive on Telegram anyway. Save preferences and the duplicates stop. Critical events will still hit email regardless.
Why am I not receiving any notifications?
A few common causes:
- Email:check your spam or junk folder. Add- contact supportto your safe senders list if needed.
- Telegram:confirm the Zinn Hub bot is not muted or blocked. Check the bot is still showing as connected on your notifications page.
- Slack:confirm the workspace is still authorised and the channel you routed to still exists.
- In-app bell:the bell is always on. If it shows no recent activity but you expect alerts, contact support.
If alerts are not arriving on any channel, the most likely cause is that no channel is ticked for that event category. Open your notifications page, find the relevant row, and confirm at least one channel is ticked.
