Zinn Hub allows Zinners to offer subscription-based services, giving you the ability to generate recurring revenue from your digital services.
Creating Subscription Zinns
Subscription Zinns let you offer recurring billing for ongoing work, making it easy to set up retainer arrangements with clients. Whether you are offering monthly consultations, ongoing support packages, regular content delivery, or any other repeating service, subscriptions give buyers a simple way to commit to working with you long term.
Creating a Subscription Zinn
Subscription Zinns are created using the
Zinn Creation Wizard, the same tool used for all service listings. You can also access it via the Add Zinn link at the top of your
In Step 1 (Basics), when selecting your product type, choose Subscription instead of One-Time. This unlocks the subscription-specific pricing fields in Step 3.
Configuring Your Subscription Pricing
In Step 3 (Pricing) you will see the subscription options appear.
Subscription Priceis the amount the buyer pays per billing cycle. Like all prices on Zinn Hub, this must be fully tax inclusive.
Billing Periodsets the frequency of the recurring charge — daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
Billing Intervallets you charge every X periods rather than every single one. For example, setting the billing period to monthly and the billing interval to 3 means the buyer is billed every 3 months rather than every month.
Subscription Lengthsets how long the subscription runs. You can leave this open-ended so it continues until cancelled, or set a fixed end point.
Sign-Up Feeis an optional one-time charge applied at the very first payment on top of the first recurring charge. Useful if you want to charge for initial setup, onboarding, or discovery work.
Free Trialis an optional trial period before billing begins. During the trial the buyer has access to your service but is not charged. Billing starts automatically once the trial ends. Trials can help convert hesitant buyers who want to experience your service before committing.
Setting the Service Type Attribute
In Step 5 (Service Details) you will see the Service Type attribute. Make sure this is set to Subscription so that buyers who filter specifically for subscription-based services can find your Zinn. Buyers looking for retainers and ongoing arrangements use this filter, so setting it correctly increases your visibility to exactly the right audience.
Cloning an Existing Zinn as a Subscription
If you already have a standard one-time Zinn and want to offer a subscription version of the same service, you can clone the existing Zinn from your dashboard rather than building from scratch. Open the cloned version in the wizard, change the product type to Subscription in Step 1, configure your billing options in Step 3, and update the Service Type attribute in Step 5. You can then add a link in the description of your standard Zinn pointing buyers to the subscription version, making it easy for interested buyers to find both options.
Managing Your Subscriptions
Once you have active subscribers you can manage everything from your
Zinner Dashboard. Click Subscriptions in the menu to view all your active, paused, and cancelled subscriptions and monitor your recurring revenue.
Tips for Success
Be clear about deliverables — make sure buyers know exactly what they receive each billing cycle and what the turnaround time is. Match your billing period to the nature of the service you are providing. Keep subscribers informed throughout — good communication is especially important in ongoing arrangements where buyers need to feel confident the service is running smoothly. And if you offer both a one-time and subscription version of the same service, link between them in your descriptions so buyers can easily choose the arrangement that suits them.
