Simple; TIME. I take detail editing seriously. I listen to every second of your show and make critical decisions about how to shape it to make it natural. In some cases, I reconstruct sentences and phrasing to create a clearer message. You're paying for a true "editor".
Yes, but the number one thing that you can do to help your show is provide a track for each speaker. Audio files with multiple speakers are hard to level volumes on effectively. If you supply a track for each voice, I can really match volumes near perfection.
Yes. I work with the absolute best repair software. Standard orders get basic noise reduction. If you need advanced editing or removal of specific sounds like ringing phones, sirens, etc. then that would cost extra as those are difficult projects on their own.
You want your podcast to sound as natural as possible. When I edit I will only remove items that leave the audio still sounding natural. Unnatural audio is more distracting than "uhms, ahhs, etc". Listeners are used to hearing those. They arent used to hearing odd transitions from removal of umms.
It is best if you deliver high quality wav or mp3 files so that there are no strange compatibility issues. I use the premier audio editing software on the market but even it sometimes has issues with other file types.
You can upload your file to Dropbox or Google Drive (both have free versions) and then you create and share the link to me in the order window. It is not necessary to have any contact info from me to do this. Just paste the shared link and I can grab your file.
Absolutely not. None of the automated solutions that exist today do an adequate job of removing fillers. The automated services leave odd-sounding cuts and leave conversations feeling unnatural. I take my time to surgically remove and review every cut to be sure that there is no compromise :)
