I write the backend your app talks to, in TypeScript on Node.js, using Express or NestJS. It can expose a REST API for a web or mobile app, run a worker that handles uploaded files or queue jobs, or connect your app to a third-party API. I use PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis for data, and Docker for running it.
I Will build a Node.js backend with Express or NestJS
Up to 3 REST endpoints or a single worker, with validation, tests and a README.

Full Description
A good fit for startups and small teams whose front end still runs on mock data, or whose app needs one more service next to the backend it already has. TypeScript on the server can share types with a TypeScript front end, so a renamed field breaks the build instead of a live page, and Express or NestJS keeps the code familiar to the next developer.
Starter covers up to three REST endpoints in one service, or a single worker for files or your existing queue. Standard raises that to eight endpoints, stores data in PostgreSQL with migrations or in MongoDB, and ships with a Dockerfile. Advanced takes it to fifteen endpoints and adds token-based login with user roles, a queue worker and CI on GitHub Actions.
In every package, each endpoint gets input validation and tests, and you get a README, config in environment variables and the full source code.
Before any code, I write a short spec in the chat listing what each endpoint receives and returns, and you confirm it. You can try a working version before delivery, and I post a progress note daily.
Deployment to your server is an extra. If your project falls between two packages, send me the details and I'll quote a custom offer.
What I need from you
- Describe what the service does and paste one sample request with the JSON you expect back.
- Your GitHub username, and the repository if the code goes into an existing project. Without GitHub, the code comes as an archive.
- Does the service call another system? If so, send that system's API docs or some sample data.
- On Standard or Advanced, which database should the service use? Send access details or a schema dump, or say it's a new one.
- Where will the service run: your Linux server, Docker or a cloud platform? If you ordered deployment, I'll ask for SSH access in the chat.

Formline: Next.js store with Stripe
A storefront you can click through: 16 posters in 4 collections, filters and search that stay in the URL, a cart, light and dark themes, and a checkout that ends in a demo order or a real Stripe Checkout session in test mode. I built it as a Next.js static export in TypeScript with Tailwind CSS. Card payments go through a Cloudflare Worker that re-prices the cart on the server and verifies Stripe's webhook signature.

Frequently Asked Questions
NestJS runs on top of Express by default, and the speed is about the same. Express keeps a small service short. NestJS adds modules and dependency injection, which help once the codebase grows and several developers share it. Describe the service and I'll say which one fits.
One method on one path, so GET /users and POST /users are two endpoints. The price assumes ordinary work such as reading and saving records or calling another API. Payments, file uploads and heavy reports cost more, and I quote them as a custom offer.
Yes. Give me access to the repository and tell me how to run it. I follow the structure and style already there, write JavaScript if the project uses it, and cover the new code with tests.
Yes, with the deployment extra. I need SSH access to your Linux server and a domain that already points to it. Server costs and later maintenance aren't included.
No, I work in writing. Everything stays in the order chat, so we can both check later what was agreed.
Fixing anything that doesn't match the spec we agreed on in the chat. New endpoints or changes to the spec are new work, through the endpoint extra or a custom offer.
