Due to Brexit, ECHA has closed for UK and Northern Ireland companies to notify at ECHA - or to cover these countries by UFI-code/Dossier.
A new CLP chemical label element will appear on chemical product labels from January 2021: a 16-character code called the unique formula identifier (UFI). By 2025, the UFI will be mandatory on the label of all products classified for health or physical hazards. Importers and downstream users placing such products on the market will have to provide specific product information, including the UFI, to poison centres. Tools and support to generate the UFI are available on ECHA's Poison Centres website.
01-01-2021 - be aware, all new chemical products must now contain UFI-code on label when placing on European market.
