If it features two instrumental parts or adds a polyphonic element (e.g. piano with chords and melody together), choose Standard. If it is dense, fast, heavily layered or technically complex — multiple instruments, syncopation, irregular time signatures — choose Full. When in doubt, send a message with your file attached before ordering and you will receive an honest recommendation quickly.

An easy piece typically has a singable main motif, a basic chord progression and a straightforward rhythm — think Imagine by John Lennon or Redemption Song by Bob Marley. An intermediate piece has a longer, more developed motif, varied chord sequences across sections and some rhythmic complexity — along the lines of How Deep Is Your Love or Your Song. A complex piece features many notes, fast tempo, syncopation, shifting time signatures and difficult chord progressions — for example a solo guitar arrangement or a piece in the style of Joe Satriani's Summer Song.

An MP3 or similar audio file works perfectly. A video file or a link to an online video is also fine. The cleaner the audio, the more accurate the transcription. If the recording is low quality or certain parts are inaudible, you will be informed before work begins so you can decide how to proceed.

The transcription can be provided in standard notation, guitar or bass tablature, a lead sheet (melody plus chord symbols), or chords written over lyrics. Simply specify your preference when you place the order, or mention it in the requirements field.
