- Consider using a password manager
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security to your account. With it switched on, signing in needs both your password (or magic link)
anda one-time code from your authenticator app.
How to turn on 2FA:
- Open Account & Security and find the Two-factor authentication section
- On your phone, open an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy) and scan the QR code shown — or enter the setup key manually
- Enter the 6-digit code from your app to confirm
- Save your backup codes somewhere safe — you'll be shown 10 one-time codes, and this is the only time they are displayed
When you sign in:once 2FA is on, every sign-in — by password or by magic link — asks for a current code from your authenticator app.
Backup codes:you receive 10 single-use backup codes. Each works once, as a stand-in for your app code if you can't reach your phone. You can issue a fresh set any time with
Regenerate backup codes, which replaces your old set.
Turning it off:use
Turn off 2FAin the same section whenever you want to switch it back off.
If you get locked out:if you lose access to both your authenticator app and your backup codes, contact our support team. For your security, our team can only switch 2FA off for you so you can sign back in — they can never see your codes. Once it's off, you can sign in with just your password or a magic link and set 2FA up again whenever you like.
