Zinn Hub is a global freelance marketplace, and it's built so that neither language nor currency is ever a barrier. You can read the whole site in your own language, and you can see every price in your own currency — while the money itself stays simple and consistent behind the scenes. This guide covers the languages we support, the currencies we display, and exactly where to change each.
A quick note on our words: Zinners are sellers (freelancers), Zinnectors are buyers, and Zinns are the service listings Zinners offer.
First, the one thing to understand: you have two language settings
Most people only ever need one, but it helps to know both exist, because they do different jobs and you set them independently:
- Your display language (your browse language) — the language the whole site and your dashboard are shown in. This is what this guide covers.
- Your communication language (your notification language) — the language you're emailed, notified and messaged in. That's covered in its own guide, “Communication languages — get messaged and notified in your language.”
They can differ on purpose: you might read the site in English but choose to be messaged in Spanish. If you never set a communication language, it simply follows your display language, so most people never have to think about it.
The site languages you can browse in
Zinn Hub's base language is British English (colour, organise, centre — the -re spellings). Including English, the site is available in 46 languages. Choose one as your display language and the marketplace, your dashboard, listings, search and this Help Centre all appear in it, on that language's own web address (for example, Spanish pages sit under /es/; English is the base and has no prefix).
Each language is shown in the switcher in its own native name, so you can always recognise your own even if you can't read the current one:

All 46 site languages are live. Choose any one from the switcher and the whole site, your dashboard, listings, search and this Help Centre switch into it instantly.
How to change the language the site is shown in
- On desktop: click the globe icon (🌐) in the site header (it sits next to the currency chip) to open a searchable panel, then pick your language.
- On mobile: open the menu and tap the “Language” option — it opens the same panel.
- In your dashboard: use the language pill in the dashboard header, or open Account and use the “Display language” dropdown in the “🌐 Language & currency” card. The site can also carry a switcher in the footer.
Whichever you use, the whole site and your dashboard switch to your chosen language, and you're taken to that language's version of the page.
Seeing prices in your own currency
Prices across Zinn Hub are displayed in your own currency for convenience. Zinn Hub supports 59 display currencies, each with the correct symbol and decimal formatting (including currencies like the Japanese yen and Korean won that have no decimal places):

Your currency is detected automatically — from your saved preference, your location, or your browser's language — with USD as the fallback. If you'd rather choose it yourself, you can, and a manual choice is always respected and never silently overridden. Under a US-dollar amount, when your currency isn't USD, you'll also see a friendly reference equivalent — for example “$275.00 ≈ £204.91.”
How to change your display currency
Use the currency switcher — the currency chip in the site header (and in the mobile menu), plus a switcher in the footer. It opens a searchable list of all 59 currencies, with USD, EUR and GBP pinned at the top and badges showing your current and detected currency. Picking one refreshes the page so every price re-displays consistently, and your choice is remembered on your account.
Your money always stays in US Dollars
This is the important, honest part. Currency conversion on Zinn Hub is display-only. Everything is actually stored, charged, refunded and paid out in US dollars (USD). At checkout you'll see a clear notice:
“All payments processed in USD. Your bank or wallet may apply its own conversion rate.”
So the local price you see is a helpful guide, and your own bank, card or wallet sets the final exchange rate — Zinn Hub isn't adding a hidden currency margin. And your language or currency choice never changes the money: earnings, payouts, receipts and refunds always stay in USD, whatever language you read the site in or currency you view prices in. Sellers are always paid in USD, and refunds always return to your Zinn Wallet in USD.
Where to set both, in one place
In your dashboard, open Account and find the “🌐 Language & currency” card. There you'll find your Display language, your display currency, and — just below — your Notification language (covered in its own guide). You'll normally reach this from the dashboard sidebar rather than by typing an address.
Quick answers
Will changing my language or currency change how much I pay or get paid? No. All money — prices you're charged, your earnings, payouts, receipts and refunds — stays in US dollars regardless of your language or currency settings. The local currency is display-only.
Is the local price the exact amount I'll be charged? Not exactly — it's a helpful reference. The charge is made in USD, and your own bank, card or wallet applies its own exchange rate.
Can I read the site in one language but see prices in a different currency? Yes — language and currency are separate settings, and you can mix them however you like.
My currency isn't showing — why? We support 59 display currencies covering the vast majority of buyers worldwide. If yours isn't listed, the site displays in USD — which is the base currency anyway, so prices are exact.
