Zinn Hub's search lets you find everything on the marketplace from one place — services, freelancers, sellers, project briefs, categories, and help articles — without jumping between different pages. Here's how to get the most out of it.
Zinn Hub's search lets you find everything on the marketplace from one place — services, freelancers, sellers, project briefs, categories, and help articles — without jumping between different pages. Here's how to get the most out of it.
Opening Search
You can open search from anywhere on the site:
- Mobile:Tap the search icon (🔍) in the top header.
- Desktop:Click the search icon or the search prompt in the top header.
A flyout panel slides into view with a search box at the top and tabs across it. Start typing — results appear live as you type, no need to press Enter.
What each tab finds
Search results are organised into tabs so you can focus on exactly what you're looking for. The default tab is
All, which shows a mix of everything.
All
A combined view showing the top results across every other tab. Best when you're not sure where what you want will live, or when you want to see the full range of matches.
Zinns
Services for sale on the marketplace — the productised packages you can buy directly. Example searches:
*"logo design"*,
*"German backlinks"*,
*"video editor"*.
Freelancers
Individual freelancer profiles ("Zinners") available to hire for custom work. Use this tab when you want to browse the people behind the services, see their skills and portfolios, or commission bespoke work that isn't packaged as a Zinn.
Sellers
Full vendor storefronts. Different from Freelancers — a Seller result takes you to that seller's whole shop where you can see every Zinn they offer, their reviews, and their branding. Use this when you want to explore a specific vendor's full catalogue.
Projects
Open project briefs posted by buyers looking for freelancers to bid on. If you're a Zinner browsing for work to pitch on, this is the tab for you. Buyers can also search this tab to find similar projects to theirs.
Articles
Blog posts, guides, FAQ entries, and help pages on Zinn Hub. Use this when you want to learn about how something works, find a how-to guide, or read about the marketplace itself.
Categories
Browse the full service taxonomy from one place. Type the name of a category and see matching categories along with how many Zinns, Freelancers, and Projects each one contains. Tap a category result to land on its page, where you can choose to browse the Zinns, Freelancers, or Projects within it. Useful when you know roughly the kind of work you need but want to see everything available in that space — services to buy, people to hire, and open project briefs all from one starting point.
Tips for better search results
A few small habits will get you to the right result faster:
Use specific terms."Video editor" works much better than "video". "German backlinks" works better than "links". The more specific your query, the more relevant the results.
Try multiple tabs.If the All tab doesn't show what you want, jump into the specific tab — sometimes a Freelancer result is what you actually wanted but it got crowded out by Zinns in the All view.
Swipe the tab row on mobile. On smaller phones not all six tabs fit on screen at once. The right edge fades to show there's more — just swipe left on the tab row to scroll across to the rest.
Tap a trending chip. When you first open the search and haven't typed anything, the All and Zinns tabs show trending searches as small chips. Tap any of them to instantly run that search.
Look for "See all in {Tab} →".Every tab has a footer link that takes you to a full results page with more matches than the flyout can show. Click through when you want to browse deeply rather than skim.
Where results take you
- Tap any result cardin the flyout to jump straight to that Zinn, Freelancer, Seller, Project, or Article.
- Tap "See all in {Tab} →"at the bottom of any tab to open the full results page for that tab. From there you can scroll through every match, not just the top few.
- Tap the × close buttonor anywhere outside the panel to dismiss search without leaving the page you're on.
Things to know
Search works the same whether you're logged in or not.You don't need an account to search, browse, or click through to results. You'll only need to log in if you want to buy, message a seller, or post a project.
There are no filters in search. The flyout focuses on getting you to the right result fast through specific search terms and the right tab. Once you land on a Zinn category page, freelancer directory, or project listing from a result, you'll find filtering tools there.
Very long pasted text might not search well.Search is optimised for short, specific queries — typically a few words. If you paste in a whole paragraph or job description, you'll get better results by picking out the two or three most important terms instead.
