I’m Tonie, a full stack developer based in the Philippines, focused on designing and building fast, scalable web systems from the interface down to the backend and, when needed, into embedded devices. I care deeply about performance, clarity, and long-term maintainability, and I treat each project as an opportunity to build systems that stay reliable as they grow. Whether it is a web application, a developer tool, or an automation pipeline, I aim to ship software that behaves predictably in real-world use and is straightforward for other developers to understand and extend.

My approach to development starts with breaking complex problems into small, testable parts and building upward from there. I value clarity over cleverness, preferring code that is easy to read, reason about, and refactor over solutions that are overly abstract but hard to maintain. I work with a full-stack mindset, moving comfortably across UI, backend, and hardware layers, and I continuously refine systems based on feedback, real usage, and performance constraints.

On the frontend, I work with modern HTML and CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript, React, and Tailwind CSS to build responsive, component-based interfaces. On the backend, I use Node.js and Express, REST APIs, webhook systems, and automation pipelines, often integrating with Discord bots and other external services. I also have experience with embedded systems using ESP32 and Arduino, low-level C and C++, and communication protocols like I2C, SPI, and UART for IoT sensors, Wi-Fi, and BLE devices. Around this, I rely on Git and GitHub, Linux environments, Python scripting, and publishing tools on NPM and PyPI to support real-world workflows.

I enjoy learning through projects and have shipped tools and libraries that help automate tasks, improve debugging, and streamline development workflows. I’m currently open to junior and entry-level roles, internships, and project-based collaborations where I can contribute to meaningful products while continuing to grow as a developer. I’m remote-friendly, comfortable working across the full stack, and always interested in building systems with focus and intent.
