Braintrust describes itself as an AI-powered talent network for enterprise recruiting, and its own pricing page lists three products: a Talent Marketplace, an AI recruiter, and a workflow-automation product. It also sells AI training-data services. It is a vetted network for enterprise contract hiring, not an open self-serve gig marketplace.

Braintrust’s own service-fee terms state a 15% platform fee added over and above the transaction amount and paid by the client — its own worked example turns a $90/hour rate into $103.50/hour for the client. Its payments and pricing pages state zero platform fees for talent.

On a vetted network you apply, you are screened, and you are matched into a client contract. You do not publish a fixed-price service a buyer can purchase outright, and there is no public storefront of your own to send people to. That suits enterprise contract work; it is a different job from building your own book of buyers.

Be realistic: no marketplace can import another marketplace’s ratings as its own.
