Malt'tan (malt.com) Zinn Hub'a geçin
Malt (malt.com) publishes three client plans — Starter at 10% service fees, Advanced at 15%, and a customised Enterprise rate — and invoices freelancers separately for its own fees. Zinn Hub charges the seller 0% on your first $500, then tiered rates that fall as you sell, and charges the buyer nothing at all.
0% on your first $500 · No buyer platform fee · 45 site languagesThree ways to earn from one Zinner account
On Malt (malt.com) you build a profile and quote against a client's need. Zinn Hub keeps that motion in its Freelancer Directory and adds two more channels on the same account.
A public profile with your skills, your rate and your portfolio, which buyers browse and hire from directly. Start from a skill such as UI/UX Design or Data Science, or a whole area like Software Development.
Buyers post a brief and you reply with a proposal. Proposals are free and there are no bidding credits to buy. See UI/UX Design or Marketing Strategy & Consulting.
Productised, fixed-scope packages that sell without a quote — an analytics audit, a design system review, a data pipeline. They keep earning between retainers. Look at Data Analytics or Programming & Tech.
One profile. Three routes to the same buyer.
Consultants tend to start with the directory profile, because it is closest to the way they already work, then add a productised Zinn for the work they repeat, and answer briefs when the calendar has room. Each channel reaches a different buyer and none of them requires the other.
Six things European freelancers ask us for
These are the reasons independents give when they open a second account.
You want one rate, not a rate per country
Malt (malt.com) publishes separate client-fee pages for the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Nordics and the Middle East. Zinn Hub applies one published ladder to every Zinner, everywhere.
You want your client not to be charged extra
There is no buyer platform fee on Zinn Hub. The price on the listing is the price the client pays, which removes an awkward conversation from every quote.
You want to be paid into your own account
Connect your own Stripe or PayPal and buyers pay you directly at checkout. Prefer the payment held until the order completes? Choose platform-protected payments and be paid from the payout run instead.
You want income that is not all day-rate
A day rate stops the moment you stop. A productised Micro Zinn or a fixed-scope Zinn keeps selling between engagements — try Data Analysis or Presentation Design.
You want clients beyond Europe
Zinn Hub renders in 45 site languages — French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Portuguese among them — and buyers can be messaged in 12 more, 57 in total.
You want to know exactly what you keep
The whole ladder is published on the pricing page: 0% to $500, 20% to $2,500, 15% to $10,000, 13% to $15,000, 10% to $20,000, then 8% — or a flat 8% on Pro Zinner and a flat 7% on Agency Zinner.
What Malt (malt.com) publishes about its own fees
Stated from Malt's own help centre, and nowhere else. Where Malt does not publish a single figure, this page does not print one.
- Client service fees — three plans
- Starter: 10% service fees. Advanced: 15% service fees. Enterprise: customised service fees. Malt's help centre states that “commissions are calculated on the amount invoiced by your freelancer, excluding tax”.
- How the invoicing works
- Malt states that at the end of a project the client receives two invoices, one from the freelancer for the work and one from Malt for the service fees, and that “the freelancer also receives a separate invoice from Malt for the fees applied to them”.
- Freelancer-side service fee
- No single figure published here
Malt's help centre describes the freelancer service fee in more than one place and the descriptions differ, so no freelancer-side percentage appears on this page. If you need that number, read it on Malt's own help centre for your own country before you decide. - Fees are not the same in every market
- Malt publishes separate client-fee pages for the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Nordic countries and the Middle East, and country-specific freelancer terms for France, Spain and Belgium. The plan figures above should not be read as global.
- What Malt says is included
- Malt states that professional indemnity insurance is included on all projects, publishes mission protection coverage up to 20 million euro, and says freelancers on eligible projects are “paid within 10 days after the client validates the completion of the project”.
- Two product lines
- Malt describes itself both as a multi-category freelance marketplace and as a Freelance Management System for enterprises. This page compares the marketplace side only, because that is the side a Zinn Hub Zinner would recognise.
Sources: Malt's own help centre at help.malt.com — the client service-fees and offers article and the freelancer service-fees article — and malt.com. Checked 13 August 2026. Malt sets and can change these terms; read your own country’s page too. Zinn Hub is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Malt.

How to move your practice across, in four steps
Nothing has to be closed to try this.
Zinner Olarak Kaydolun
Free, with every feature available from the start. Three wizards handle setup: Store Setup, Payment Setup and Zinn Creation.
Rebuild the profile first
Your directory profile is the closest match to how you already work, so publish that before anything else. Paste your existing profile into Import My Services and it comes back ready to review.
Turn your day rate into a package
Take the engagement you repeat most and scope it as a fixed-price Zinn. A day rate stops when you stop; a package does not.
Price in USD, then answer briefs
Set your price in dollars once and buyers see an approximate equivalent in their own currency. Then start replying to briefs in Projects.
What moves with you, and what does not
The realistic picture, so week one holds no surprises.
- Your profile, your case studies and your rate: yes
- Everything you wrote is yours. Import My Services turns a profile or listing into drafts you review first.
- Your reviews and your rating: no
- Reviews stay with the account that earned them. Zinn Hub requires a confirmed purchase before a review can be left, which is why an imported rating would carry no weight. Import My Services can carry up to ten across word for word as displayed history.
- Insurance and cover: check what you have
- Malt states that professional indemnity insurance is included on its projects. Zinn Hub does not provide professional indemnity cover, so if you rely on it, arrange your own before you take work here. What Zinn Hub does provide is payment protection: choose a Platform Protected Zinn and the buyer's payment is held until the order completes.
- Your clients: yes, if you invite them
- Read the terms of any platform you are on before moving a live engagement off it.
